The 8th Grade Recognition Ceremony Celebrates the Class of 2028

Congratulations to our eighth graders! They will transition to high school next year and were honored in a special ceremony on May 21, at our K-8 campus. Here's to their continued success!

Congratulations to Keaka '28, who won the prestigious Barrett McCandless Award, and to Elijah '28, who was awarded the Tamashiro Scholarship, which will support his journey at Assets High School!

The Barrett McCandless Award, named after our longtime former Head of School,  is given to an 8th and 12th grader. As we shared earlier, the award goes to a student who personifies the qualities Barrett admired: perseverance, commitment to one's goals, and achievement. Keaka's name is engraved on a plaque on display at the K-8 Campus.

The Tamashiro Scholarship, named in memory of Erick Tamashiro, who excelled academically and athletically at Assets from seventh to ninth grade, is given by his family to assist students financially to attend Assets and honor his legacy.
