Great Minds Academy (Grades 9-12)
Explore Career Pathways in Entrepreneurship or STEM

Our increasingly complex and fast-paced world demands students to hit the ground running as they move through high school and transition to adulthood. Great Minds Academy is designed to be responsive to this demand. Our project-based, team-taught program enables students to delve into a field of interest while cultivating the foundational skills, knowledge, and resources that are critical to success in the workforce.

Program Dates: June 1 - June 26 (4 weeks)
Holidays Observed: Kamehameha Day (June 11) and Juneteenth (June 19)
Daily Program: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Credit: .5 Elective
Cost: $1,400

Highlights of this engaging, hands-on program include:

  • The opportunity to delve into a field of interest while cultivating the foundational skills, knowledge, and resources that are critical to success in the workforce.
  • Choose a career pathway in Entrepreneurship or STEM

  • Learning that extends beyond traditional school via opportunities to learn within “classrooms” of real-world workplaces and from experts in our island community.
  • Learn within a small cohort (average student/teacher ratio is 8:1)

Entrepreneurship: 
An engaging adventure in innovation and problem-solving. Practice turning ideas into action while building creativity, communication skills, and strategic thinking. Gain experience pitching ideas, working in teams, and adapting to changing plans. Build resilience and self-confidence to become a capable leader and creator.

STEM:
An immersive introduction to engineering, technology, and applied sciences. Take part in design challenges, coding projects, and hands-on lab activities that encourage experimentation, innovation, and teamwork. Apply scientific and engineering thinking to real-world problems while testing solutions. Engage in inquiry-based learning that sparks curiosity and analytical skills.
