Camp Invention® is a nationally acclaimed summer program where STEM concepts come to life. Led by Assets School teachers, this program taps into kids' natural curiosity, giving them the opportunity to become innovators through teamwork and immersive, hands-on creative problem solving.
The summer academic program includes an integrated curriculum, much like our regular school program. Students will be matched with classrooms that are developmentally appropriate for their individual assessment.
Literacy instruction is focused on multisensory, structured language approaches. Theme-based Math and Science lessons are integrated via hands-on activities that engage students and promote enthusiastic, meaningful learning. Students will also attend daily Enrichment classes that are designed for them to explore their interests and develop their strengths.
New students may receive a supplement assessment, which provides valuable information about the student's learning profile.
Students will participate in the joyful process of art making and celebrate the incredible experience of creating something from their own imagination. A variety of materials will be used to develop skills and self-expression through drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and mixed media. The class will conclude with an exhibition.
Through singing, playing instruments (xylophone, ukulele, boomwhackers, percussion), and movement, students will have the opportunity to explore and experience different kinds of music in an ensemble setting.
Performing Arts Academy
From script to stage, students will explore all aspects of a play production. Each student will have valuable coaching time on character, scene development, and lasting core technique. There will be a performance at the conclusion of the session.
Full Day: $350 per week / Half Day: $175 per week
Complimentary early morning care from 7:30-9am and after care from 4-5:30pm is included.
Summer camp offers a variety of engaging activities such as sports, games, art, hands-on projects, guest entertainment, weekly outings, water play, and more. Each week consists of one cultural, two sport, and two craft activities. Snack is provided. Campers are responsible for their own lunch.
Campers are given the opportunity to experience a positive environment and develop friendships that will increase their self-esteem, boost their confidence, and develop their independence.
