Interested in learning more about a career in Aviation? This class is for you!
All commercial pilots (and many military pilots) start their flying careers with the FAA Private Pilot Certificate. This certificate is the gateway to the Instrument Certificate, the Commercial Certificate, the Instructor Certificate and the Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. This is a fun career and pays more money than you can count …… for those who are successful.
The best way to learn about the potential of an aviation career is to take a structured academic course which gives you the academic insight into the mysteries of engines, aerodynamics, airspace, command and control, physiology, weather, mission planning and how to organize your study habits to successfully pass the FAA Written Exam, FAA Oral Exam and the FAA Practical Flight Exam (usually referred to as “The Check Ride”).
This course is useful for other math and science applications because it combines the theoretical study of math and science with real world application to problems like how to compute the required takeoff distance, how to pick the right altitude for best cruise and best fuel consumption, and how to compute the landing distance at varying altitudes and temperatures.
Becoming a pilot is not difficult, but FAA data shows that 80% of wannabe pilots DO NOT complete the FAA Private Pilot Certificate usually because of a lack of formal structured training which teaches a new pilot how to take ownership of the flight training process. If a student can’t successfully study, he can’t fly !!
