Across our two beautiful campuses, activities that have not taken place in two years are coming back, and we are so excited! The K-8 campus has enjoyed resuming Friday Assembly in person, and all families are welcome to attend. It takes place every Friday at 8 a.m. in the courtyard area fronting the Transforming Lives Center. The K-8 Reading Buddies program has returned, and we had the opportunity to speak with some of our students.
We asked the reading buddies what they like about coming back to school. Here’s what they said:
“I mostly like all my friends,” said seventh grader Josslyn. “The teachers are really nice. It's a good time all around. It's really fun.”
“I was here for summer school, and it was so nice that I wanted to come back,” beamed second grader Myla. "My favorite part about school is all the nice teachers and my education.”
“I like learning,” said Rowan, who is in the second grade. “Science is my favorite part. I don't want to miss anything!”
Eighth-grader Logan shared, “This school helps people in need. They just made this Transforming Lives Center over the summer so that's pretty great! It has a whole basketball court over here. Now, we have a new tech teacher.”
