Students' families, faculty, and staff collected nearly 600 pounds of canned goods and nonperishable food during the month of November to support families in need.
Thanks to your kindness, on November 29, National Giving Tuesday, we presented the food items and a $200 donation from an Assets family to Hawaii Foodbank President and CEO Amy Miller Marvin. The Hawaii Foodbank shared with us that our donation will provide 919 individuals with a great meal!
Lennox Luttrell's family was among many families contributing to our success. Veronica Luttrell joined us for the presentations. She rallied her office mates to support our food drive.
"ECC is always looking to give back to the community," said Veronica Luttrell. "When we are able to contribute and help, it makes more of an impact, and you feel like you are helping those in need."
This is our third consecutive year of donating. We extend a big mahalo to everyone who helped make our food drive a success, especially, our Middle and High School Student Senates.
