HONOLULU (KITV4) -- Assets School is offering two free workshops for parents to learn ways to better communicate with their children. The workshops will be on July 20 and August 10.
Dr. Elsa Lee will lead the workshops. She is Assets School’s Clinical Director and oversees the Transforming Lives Center.
The first workshop will help children be their best selves through effective communication. Parents will learn effective, empirically supported ways to communicate with children so that they can be supported and engage with their best, optimal selves.
The second workshop is focused on understanding and managing attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder in children.
Assets School says Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that has been on the rise over the past decades and diagnosed more frequently than before. Parents will learn more about the condition and its symptoms, and how to help families who are affected by ADHD manage symptoms.
