Jamison ‘24, Brady '24, Leilei '25, Maile '26, Abby '26, Tori '26, and Paige '26 are Assets High School students on an exciting journey at the K-8 Campus through the High School's Mentorship Program. What's fascinating is that some of these mature high school students were once students within the K-8 campus.
Brady helps Randy Castello in B2 with kindergarten to second-grade students.
“I want to become a teacher,” said Brady, who started at Assets in the fourth grade.
“I enjoy helping the students with their work. They are all very sweet. Since I know the K-8 campus, I might as well just come back.”
Theo '25 was among the three high school students who did their mentorship on the K-8 campus last year.
"My main goal is to make sure everybody is having fun and is participating," said Theo '25, who served as an assistant to Coach Dylan.
Every Wednesday, all high school students explore various career opportunities, hone their resume-building skills, and master the art of business etiquette. Students choose between on-campus or off-campus mentorships. This year, there are more than 70 active off-campus mentorships, not including six on the K-8 campus. Our on-campus mentorships at the High School are Robotics, Rocketry, Journalism, Blacksmithing, Makerspace, Visual Arts, East Asian Art and Craft, Photography, and Growing Green. Through the years, Assets School has partnered with 400 off-campus mentorship sites.
