Transforming Lives Center has been off to a wonderful start thanks to our new Clinical Director Dr. Elsa Lee.
Dr. Lee, who would like students to call her Dr. Elsa, has been busy assessing students from Kindergarten through 12th grade for dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other language-based learning differences, as well as academic achievement. The assessments are open to all students, not just those who attend Assets School.
“I love seeing kids from all ages and backgrounds,” said Dr. Elsa. “Working with families is also a very rewarding experience, especially when parents finally get to understand - for many of them, the first time - the reason behind their children's struggles.”
Dr. Elsa’s past school experience includes being a counselor at a public elementary school when she was a graduate student. She pursued her master’s degree in mental health counseling at Columbia University, and her doctorate at New York University specializing in counseling psychology and clinical neuropsychology. She has more than 10 years of experience working as a psychologist at hospitals, community mental health centers and in private practice.
Let’s give a warm Assets welcome to Dr. Elsa Lee. Learn more at the Assets School Transforming Lives Center page.
