About Team Waffles

Team Waffles was founded in 2018 by a handful of motivated students and a willing teacher who shared a common mission: to provide a better future for the student and community. Our robotics program and team, Team Waffles, is now a nationally and internationally recognized robotics team that actively extends our reach into the FIRST and STEM communities.
Here at Assets Robotics, the community comes FIRST. As of August 2024, 71 students have graduated as robotics participants with the majority pursuing STEM degrees post-high school. To our students, it's not just about building robots, it's also passing on knowledge and opportunities to the members of our community.

FIRST Programs
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an international non-profit organization that promotes STEM academics through competitions. Currently, we have an active FIRST program that participates in all three FIRST programs: FIRST Lego League (FLL), the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), and the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). You can find out more details about the different FIRST Robotics programs below.

Interested in Supporting Team Waffles?
This after-school robotics program costs at least $26,000 every year.
Building robots from scratch is not cheap or easy. There are a lot of expenses related to this program's participation. As such, each member is expected to help offset the cost of these fees, by raising funds themselves. Our student members reach out to various companies and organizations that are willing to sponsor us.
